W.A.S.P ( Work Release)

  1. What is it like at the W.A.S.P ?

    A controlled closely monitored jail like setting. However we do offer amenities that a normal Jail or Correctional facility may not .

  2. How long can a person be sentenced to the W.A.S.P program?

    A sentence can range from 1 day to 365 days .

  3. How much does the W.A.S.P program cost?

  4. Do I need to be employed?

    No. However If the Offender is not employed the Offender may be placed on a lock down status (No Work Release Privileges) and will still be able to have other privileges that W.A.S.P (Work Release) offers.

  5. How do I register for W.A.S.P program?

    To register you may stop by the W.A.S.P facility and fill out your registration packet or you may call to preregister.

  6. What form(s) do I need to bring with me?

    1.You will need to bring a letter of employment ( if you are employed ) from your employer stating your schedule and how long you have been employed. 

    2. You will need to bring ( if you are employed ) a copy of your most recent pay stub.

    3. You will need to bring a State or Government issued ID and Social Security card ( if you have them ) .

  7. What should I bring for my time at the W.A.S.P?

    You should bring blankets,sheets,pillow,food,clothes and bathing supplies. Alarm clocks and radios with headphones or ear buds are permitted. DVD movies are also permitted  We have T.Vs with DVD players. Personal DVD players and pornographic movies are not permitted!!!

  8. May I drive my own vehicle to and from work?

    You may drive your own vehicle to and from work only if you have a valid drivers license . You must also show proof of insurance and a vehicle registration form for the vihicle you intend to drive .

  9. Does the W.A.S.P program provide food?

    No. You must bring your own food or have someone drop off food for you. We have a refrigerator that you may store food in. We do have vending machines for your convenience. We also have a kitchen that has a microwave, sink, toaster oven and some dishes for you to use.

  10. When can a family member or friend drop food off?

    You may have a family member(s) or friend(s) drop food off at any time until 8:00 pm. Under certain circumstances, we may allow food to be dropped off past 8:00pm.

  11. When can family or friends visit?

    Visiting hours are Sunday thru Saturday from 8:00am - 8:00pm. Visitations are by appointment only. Non-appointment visitations may be approved under certain circumstances and by the Supervising Officer on duty or the Director. Visitations may be canceled at anytime by any Officer or the Director.

  12. Can I bring my Medication?

    Yes. You may bring your DR. prescribed medication. All medications must be in their prescribed bottles with Information on the bottle. Any over the counter medication must be in their unopened original bottle. All medications must be turned in to the Officers for documentation and will be distributed as according to the Information on the bottle or as needed for over the counter medication.

  13. Drugs and Alcohol

    Drugs and Alcohol are not allowed and will not be tolerated! Anyone found or suspected to be under the influence of Drugs and or Alcohol may be subject to Testing!! If an Offender is found to be under the Influence of Drugs and or Alcohol may be subject to Extended time of sentence, Termination from the Program and or Released to the Custody of the Sheriffs Jail!!!!


  14. Cellular Phones

    Use of Cellular phones are not permitted at the W.A.S.P Program.Cellular phones must be turned in to the Officer on duty upon entrance of the W.A.S.P facility!! Cellular phones will be released when leaving for work or when being released from a court mandated sentence. There is a pay phone that can be used for making calls. All unauthorized cellular phones will be confiscated!!!

  15. What time will I be released?

    When a Offender(s) court mandated sentence time is up,  He/She is normally released at the documented time He/She entered the program. Example: If an Offender entered the program at 3:00pm, The Offender will be released at 3:00pm at the end of their court mandated sentence.

  16. Schooling and other Services

    If an Offender is in school, He/She may be allowed to leave to attend class with prior approval from the Director. All other services must be either Court approved or approved by the Director.

Drivers Intervention Program (D.I.P)

  1. What is the D.I.P program?

    Driver Intervention Program: provides an educational alternative to the Mandatory 72 hour jail sentence for individuals convicted for the first time of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of Drugs or Alcohol .

  2. How long is the D.I.P program

    The D.I.P program is a Court mandated 3-day (72 hours) program. The program normally runs from Thursday thru Sunday. Please check the calender section of our website for dates and times or call us at (330)392-5007 for more Information.

  3. How much does the D.I.P program cost?

    The D.I.P program cost $185.00. The price includes meals & lodging.

  4. What do I need to bring for my stay?

    You should bring blankets,sheets,pillows,clothes for 3 days, bathing supplies and some items to keep you entertained. DVD movies,radios with headphones,playing cards and other games are permitted.Portable  DVD players are not permitted. No pornographic material!!  You may bring snacks and other food if you want. Their is a refrigerator to store your food in and a kitchen which has a microwave, toaster oven, and some dishes for your use. Their are also vending machines for your convenience.
